The trim /tilt switch mounted in the handgrip of my 1994 Quicksilver single handle, surface mount control seems to have come loose or broken (not sure) and can hang up in the up or down position. Can this switch be replaced or do I need to replace the complete handle??

Re: Quicksilver Tilt/Trim Switch repair

Certainly it can be replaced, probably a 30 - 40 dollar switch though.I bought my switch at doug russell marine. Your control may be different than mine, but here is a link to the commander 2000 control http://dougrussell.com/partscatalog...,1,2,3,29,7,24,22,23,4,6,8,25,36,39,40,5,27,0

Now you can search for your particular application by searching parts, then quicksilver, then selecting outboard controls vol 1 or 2. Will be helpful if you can get a pn off your controls. You will have to demount your box and remove rear coverplate, then the handle, not a hard job. Good luck
