R/C Aircraft fanatics...

I didn't realize how many R/C'rs we had here...That's great!
What Do you guys/gals fly?..... sport, pattern, sport aero, unlimited aero, 3-D, Choppers...., gas, glow?
List your birds...sounds like there are enough of us maybe we could learn some new contact people for help...even if it is a Boat site.

Myself? Well, my current flying aircraft are; 1/3 scale pitts SX-2S that Tom Jones flew in U.S. aerobatic competition.....this one has a 4.2 sachs.
Gotta 30% weeks special with a 2.10 Moki. On my third Suhkoi (Goldberg with a 1.20 Webra. a Carden Cap 232 41% with a DA-150...slightly over-powered, but not bad...a 40% Jack strickland Laser 200 with an 8.4 sachs.
A 27% P-51D with a 2.10 Moki-pulls better than one may think!
A Sig King Kobra with twins... .46 thundertigers to be exact. Built the nacells to hold an 8oz tank and a servo instead of bell cranks for throttle.
A true screamer...
On the board is a 16ft span B-29 I'm scratch-building..planning on 4 Webra 1.20's to pull this 70lb bird...The Horizontal on the '29 is just about the same size as the wing on my Suhkoi....wife may not allow me to finish this one due to fear of death and (lack of) common sense.

I've flown the lucky stik 40, the ugly stick, the ultra sport 40, an extra 300 that made one flight and crashed (not by me) and a profile p-51 put out by tower hobbies. My beginning plane was a plastic cub looking plane that bit it by the same guy who crashed my extra. Need less to say he isn't flying my planes any more.

The planes I liked the most were the lucky stik and the ultra sport. That was one awesome airplane to fly, that ultra sport.

I did it as a kid in the late 70's and early 80's with my father..... Not being satisfied with flying around in a big pattern, I began to get daring and thats when we brought all the parts home in one cardboard box.

My dad is now 73 yrs old and has gotten back into it within the past few years and is in a club. He learned to fly as good as an old geezer can be expected to fly by learning on a buddie box system. Last year, I bought him a plane and motor as a gift (senior cadet and sato 4 stroke) which is just his speed and very forgiving on take offs and landings.

There are OLD pilots....and there are BOLD pilots
But there are NO OLD BOLD pilots.
