It was one of those days where the gel sets up quick. My 1.8 siphon is cheap and old anyway, and didn't spray very well anymore. The gel was liquid one second and gelled up the next. I didn't even bother trying to clean it, just set it aside and borrowed the supervisor's gun.

That's why I spray with low$ HVLP guns. Lost 2 spraying gel in Florida heat. One second it's liquid, the next cottage cheese melting the plastic cup

have a body schutz gun that I plugged up back in 2007.....

Honestly, I'm surprised this one lasted as long as it did. I think I only spent about $80 on it.

You really do not know what causes odd cure times.
You or chemical mixes you buy.
It was really hot and humid that day, plus the heat generated by about a quart of gel and the slow spraying of the gun. It's far from the first time I've had it set up quick like that, but that gun has been giving me trouble for a while so I just let it go.
