radiator cap ?????

Did a search but did'nt have any luck....<br />I have a 1978 3.7L merc. 470 170HP and need a new radiator (or whatever you call it on a boat!?) it looks like a regular car cap but ya never know.. My question is can I just get a car one at local store and if so what is the proper p.s.i. (Mines not very legible.)?? <br /><br />Thanks in advance for your help..

Go to your local Mercruiser dealer and get part number 36-55143Q.<br />It's the correct cap for your engine and only costs $5.40.
