Radio Head Unit

i have a 2015 Harris Grand Mariner 250 with factory Polk radio and am looking to replace it. I only see
polk and jl radios installed that have back boxes due to weight. Has anyone mounted a head unit without a back box into the plastic trim piece. Will it support it?

That’s what I was thinking but i like the look of the fusion head units with thier bigger screen then the back box model and remote.

Any other input? I have seen head units mounted on older models but not this particular year.
