Re: Radio removal
I got to looking close at this one, and I think someone broke the original dash frame, then somehow got behind the radio and strapped it in. I see the mounting you're talking about now, and it springs free easily. The frame goes backward, showing broken plastic in the process, and the radio is still strapped in place.
I'm going to have to dismantle the dash, and probably replace some or all of it, or else fabricate a frame for a radio.
