I have a Kenwood radio and 4 400 watt Pyle 6.5 speakers (Replaced 25 watt seaworthy speakers). Problem is that when I put the volume up on the radio the whole radio shuts down and restarts. At low volumes the system runs fine tho. I replaced the original speakers thinking the problem was the speakers couldn't handle the radio; having the same issue. Please help.

Typically when the stereo shuts off at high volume, the output section is overloaded and overheating.

What model Kenwood do you have?

I'd also look at low battery voltage to the head unit or undersized power and ground cables....

I think tiewis1 has hit the nail on the head. Those symptoms sure sound like a lack of power to the radio system. I would check the voltage at the radio and turn up the volume as you monitor the voltage. I bet it starts to drop. You may need to rewire with a heavier gauge wire and make sure all connections are clean bright shiny metal, even the ground. JMHO
