Re: Radio =[

Try unplugging speakers, one at a time, and see if you get some sound then. If it starts playing after one of them is unplugged........then there is your problem.

Re: Radio =[

I think he means that one of the speakers could be shorted which would over load the amplfier, cause it to shut down and you don't get any sound, you can unplug the speakers one at a time either from the radio or at the speaker itself and see if that makes a difference.

Re: Radio =[

Make sure the antenna connection is clean and tight.

Make sure the antenna is up not laying on a metal deck.

Open the squelch all the way up.

Make sure you do not have it set in PA mode.

If it has a scan feature does it stop on a channel like someone was talking and then start scanning again.

Switch it to the strongest weather channel.

If you have an external speaker just unplug it.

If you dont have a external speaker then plug one in to see if the internal speaker may be bad.

Make sure your battery is charge up. 12.6 Volts.

Make sure the radio power plug has 12.6 volts or more.
