I have acquired a Mercury 25hp 2-stroke long shaft to put on my 1977 CollinsCraft 14' with stick steering. Boat has a transom for a short shaft. I know I can get a T-H Mini-jacker from Bass Pro for $77 or a CMC ML-65 adjustable jack plate for $220. But I thought I remembered seeing a post where someone raised their transom to hold a long shaft but I can't find it now. Does anyone remember that post? Any other suggestions?
