We've got so much rain here in the last 24 hours.
I thought we'd check out the river.
Here a few shots of "The Spillway". I haven't see it so fast and that much water in many years.

Also one of the boat ramps was flooded out were we normally go to.. It's kinda hard to see but the 2 polls are the end of the dock.

And we here in the mid-atlantic have had NONE. I just mowed my lawn last night for the first time in a month and it was mostly all dead.

Yep, my property is a couple different shades of tan to brown!

Yeah, wet.
We'v had an entire year of precip in just 3 months.
Lots of it coming 2 inches at a time.

Thursday was insane. We got another 4.5" over 36 hours.

I hear your area got 6", Buzz. Some areas sw of eau claire got 6-9", Arcadia was evacuated. 50 county roads closed in Clark county alone. 2 dozen school districts closed.

fwiw, we've had enough rain around here to keep me off the missouri river this year. there is no boat ramps around omaha. they're totally underwater. even the parking lots where ya park your trailer are part of the missouri now..

i'm with bubba1235... i'm concerned too. this winter could be a dozie... :(

Re: Ramp under water.

Yeah , heard the SW through central WI really having a tough time. Guess you won't be launching at that ramp anytime soon?:(

We got plenty of rain here in the SE, but nothing like in your area. Just winds today, 50 mph gusts.

BTW- I like this NOAA site for watching the river levels.....

We have had so much rain in the mid-west this summer I am terrified of what winter is going to look like.

Not to worry; I got the Bosslady's approval to get a snow blower. That means very little snow for central MO.

(Last Fall I had shoulder surgery and suggested that we get a snow blower; She said no. So guess who got to shovel the drive all last winter? Not me! :D She was not a happy camper)

I bought a snow blower at the end of last season and a Jeep Grand Cherokee this Spring. It will certainly not snow in my area.

try and do some flathead fishing while your river is up, usually its a frenzy if you can access a flooded back eddie.

Here in eastern Manitoba (just north of the North Dakota/Minnesota border) my home weather station says we have had 29" of rain since January 1. If that had all stayed around, I could BOAT TO WORK!
