I have an 84 Ranger 350v with an 83 mercury 2.0 liter 150.
I currently run a 13-3/4 diameter 26 pitch laser II.
Hole shot is slow but top end is great, 5400 wot.
I have a 14-1/4 diameter 24 pitch michigan wheel Rapture available to try.
Anybody have any experience on how this prop will perform over the laser II?

I can't help on the comparison but without your speed there's no way to know
how the present prop is doing.

Re: Ranger 350v prop questions

That model Ranger will benifit by props with a lot of bow lift. And some setback too. If the Rapture has a lot of lift, you'll be OK. If it has less lift than the L2, which I suspect, then you may not gain much on top rpm and may actually slow down from more hull drag. You'll just have to try it and see.

Re: Ranger 350v prop questions

I haven't ran the boat in awhile but I believe it ran about 62 on the gps with
the laser II and a half load of fuel.
The boat also has a walker jackplate with seven inches of setback.
After a little research on the web from other boating forums the rapture
is described as a progressive pitch with a ton of bow lift similar to a laser II or
stilletto.
So if my Ranger needs a lot of bow lift I imagine this prop should perform well.
Thanks.
