Ranger windscreen

Recently purchased a 1981 Ranger 188V that is mising the windscreen and related mounting hardware. Ranger Boats' site is useless for much other than self-promo. Any tips on where I might find a replacement for this particular item? It's tough navigating when your eyes are watering!

I'd go to the Ranger dealer in the area .. they'll be able to hook you up with what you need.<br /><br />looking for that specific windscreen could take you ???.... until hell freezes over on the net .. plus you could go goofy looking for it.<br /><br />good luck

Because you are in California, there should be alot of Plexiglas places that do custom forming, I had one done here at a local glass shop for a skeeter I had, those older rangers were pretty straight forward when it came to the windshield designs, shouldnt be a problem finding someone to do it for you.<br /><br />Ranger dealers will be of little help unless they will tell you of a shop that can make one for you. None of the Bass Boat manufactures that I know of keep windshields past about two years if that.

i just got a 82 375-v with a 175 horse,vary fast but i am also missing the windshields.i think people lean on them and they break. the tip about a plastic shop may work.

I had to order a windshield for my ranger yesterday. Call 1-800-724-7273 this is the ranger ordering dept. They have two older model windshields in stock. They can e-mail you pictures of them. What you want might be part number 6900051.

Can I ask what that set you back? One of my windshields has some busted areas. It's still fairly solid, but if those aren't too expensive, maybe I'll replace it.

You will **** when you here the price!:^ I paid 100.00 for it but what do you expect, Its a ranger part. I think everything starts at 100.00 from ranger!!!

I hate to say, but that isn't as bad as I figured it'd be. Still a bit pricy for a piece of bent plexiglass, but like you said, "It's a ranger part!"

Let me know if you are still looking for a windshield. On my 97 ranger i think the guy i bought it from had the windshield replaced . Over the weekend i took it off for cleaning and noticed a decal on it, with onfo on who made it and where.
If you need i can look at it and post it for you.

If nothing else it would be good info to have. People like to grab the windshield when moving about the boat. Even though I get on them, I know it's just a matter of time, before one busts.
