This is kind of a long story,

My rant
My dad owns a 6 family house in Somerville, [three minuets outside boston].

Next to the house it something called a "paper street". Three building owners are responsible to keep it clean. Six years ago my dad had to pay to have all kinds of trash removed out if the paper street because him and the other owners where getting fined $60 per day, and the other owners would not do anything about it. After this happened my dad put up a fence and blocked our back yard off from the paper street.

Over the years crap started to pile up again, but it had nothing to do with us. Then this "White trash" tenant moves in to one of the other two houses that have access to the paper street, this guy is just a system worker. He is of coarse on welfare. He lives in the neaboorhood for two weeks and has called every building inspector in the city, causing problems for all the landlords in the neaboorhood.

This guy takes all the, car parts, tires, rims, jugs of oil and piles them up next to the building my dad owns. scrapes all kinds of dirt and rocks that where scattered and piles them up too, next to our building. After he does this he turns the paper street into his little friggen back yard.......witch would be fine.......but he piled all the **** up against our fence

So then,
All the three building owners get a letter saying that we have to clean it up. None of the trash came from our tenants  all from the other buildings.

This pile is so bad that the stuff can't go in my dads truck, the roaches would get into the truck, and maybe into our own house. So we have to use a old trailer that we keep in the woods out back. We take the trailer down this afternoon and him and I start to put the stuff in the trailer. We only took the tires, car parts, and a refrigerator. We left all the landscaping the the white trash guy put there, that can be his problem.

Now, we have all this stuff in a trailer in out own driveway

Tomorrow morning we'll have to go find a dumpster to get rid of the stuff,,,,,whole thing just pisses me off   I don't mind helping my dad, but this time the trash did not come from our tenets.

The trailer

The trailer we used is a homemade job. We took a 1977 Chevy 3500 and cut it in half. We took the cab and junked it. We had someone weld a tug and trailer hitch onto the back of it, that's the trailer we used.

Health question

When loading the refrigerator onto the trailer I had a little problem. It was on the tale gate and I was holding the other end of it. My dad jumped down and walked away. When I went to slide the refrigerator in the bead I hit the conner of something. The freeon tank inside the refrigerator exploded in my face. White smoke when everywhere. It was like a huge fog. I got it right in the face and my eyes burned for a while. After I had a funny taste in my mouth too.......I feel okay now. Could this stuff make me sick???

Thanks for reading about me day!!!!
Ryan.

Ryan T, I don't know about where you live, but down here, if you can prove this guy is putting his trash onto your property, you can file charges for Tresspassing, not to mention littering, or Crimnal Mischief. Having to be a dump service for someone in the Neighborhood is bullsh-t. Do you have any pictures of this trash when it was on the property he is on. Show these pictures to the authority, and ask them to explain how or why you would STEAL his junk to put it up next to your building and fence. I'm sure there is a Police Officer in that area with some Common Sense! Otherwise, if I was in that position, I guess I'd sell the place to another White Trash, that would probably throw the junk back and forth over the fence, and let the Authority work that out.

On the health thing, in the time it took to type your post, if you didn't have to rush off to the hospital, I'm sure your going to be ok. Put some natural tear eye drops in your eyes before going to bed. If you wake up with a burning sensation, do like some of the welders do with flash burn, put some Vicks Mentalatum sauve under your eyes. Your eyes will tear up, but it will give you a cooling sensation, and allow you to sleep. Beathing the fog didn't do you any good, and I wouldn't make it a habit, but I bet your not permantly damaged.

I bet you'd really like to pile that garbage around the Jerks house and light a bonfire though huh? :D That would probably be your best medicine also, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,all I can do is say I am sorry you had a bad day. I hope tomorrow is better, and try not to let it ruin you Labor Day Weekend. ;)

Just one of GodsBeast's

Ryan, Ive inhaled a bit of freon in my auto repair and recycling days, and Im still alive, that wierd taste is likely atomized oil they use to keep the innards running smoothly

about the scumbag ... infractions are easy to find, make sure you are up to code then see whats up with the dirtball, midnight plantings wouldnt be too bad an idea either, make sure you know his schedule tho, lol

or ... just let him be, enjoy your life, and know you are LIVING ... that azzhole is existing

huge difference buddy, huge difference

;)

Re: Rant.....and health question.

Just borrow the neighbor's power washer, that should help with clean-up, at 6am. If that doesn't quiet him, stick a suction cup to the middle of his forehead, that should keep him inside for about a week anyway - can't be seen with a hickey, right? :D :D

Just don't egg him! :D

Re: Rant.....and health question.

Power washer guy lives across me street from me, at home.

We own this building, but we don't......and never would live there.

We can't sue him for throwing trash in our yard, because he didn't. He threw took all the trash the was scattered over the paper street and piled it up as close to the property line as he could have. This made the two thing that the trash came from our building.

We took everything that was not, landscaping scraps from his yard, and was not vinyl siding off his friggen house.

Get this,
My dad and I got up early so we could dump the stuff, the dumpster was full. Now we are stuck with the stuff in our driveway, at our house for the whole weekend.

We have taken pictures of it. Yesterday when we got all the stuff loaded in the trailer my dad and I took all the stuff right up to town hall the people who sent the letter and parked it right on the sidewalk. We went inside and have a women come out and look at it. They thanked us and said that they will take us off the "letter list".

amen on that last thought there, ray :D

ryan, i hope the guy got everything cleaned up, and won't be putting crap back out by your rental unit again. if it does happen again, maybe you can talk to the local lawmen to at least give them your side of the story. they might make the guy a little more self-contained ;)

You say he made his own personal playground out in your "street".

I'd gather up all his stuff too, and haul it all away to the dump.

And........ good one, I mean two, aspeck.

Re: Rant.....and health question.

Tried egging the guys house? Get permission from his landlord to pressure wash his house at 5AM?

All kidding aside, this is why I refuse to rent property. Even owning vacant lots is an invitation for unlawful dumping on your property.

About the freon, it may have damaged any ozone in your body, but it is harmless to humans unless ignited. When ignited, freon forms fozdine(sp?) gas that is colorless (except for the green flame) odorless and deadly.

I really do feel you RyanT. I could only suggest selling your rental and reinvesting the proceeds into something that is less of a hassle, even though the returns wouldn't be as great; unless you sell that building and begin speculative building. Speculative building is VERY profitable here in the Florida panhandle.

Just wondering if you are a glutton for punishment Ryan? Some of the things you say are just gonna attract un-wanted attention.

Re: Rant.....and health question.

ryan - i saw your post. it was an honest post. you gave the details, which are a part of your life now ;) remember, on here, there are both sides of an opinion, so its good you edited it.

i understand what you did, but i hope one day, rent money doesn't mean that much to you. i know, probably impossible to do when wanting to make money as a landlord. but think about it. you're doing what many people try to do to work up an income without having to do much hard labor for it - its legal, but not much diff than kings & sharecroppers... i'm really not trying to start something, just wanted you to see the other side of it. i'd be all for getting my money- but i am not willing to get myself into that anymore - its just that i would not be living my life with that kind of situation- how important is money?

best regards :)

my best friend does the same thing, and he has more money than i do, and tries to get me into rental units, so i'm not knocking it, just giving a reason why not... :D
