hello everyone, i am posting this for a friend, well after i perchase my rapido 350 i have a friend perchase one last season, it runs well internal problem.
The problem he is havine is say when you first gets to the boat to fire it up, if it start and you let it cuts of, it will just crank and crank but would no fire . but if you keep the throttle up and let it idle high and warm up properly it wouldnt do that. now he got the rochester carb rebuild it still doing the same thing. last time we went out fishing it just stall and would not start we have to take off the carb use rags to dried out the gas from the manifold then it fire right up. so i figure we have a carb problem , i have him perchase a new 1409 edelbrock from what i herd this carb is top notch and would straight out off the box, ges what it s doing the same thing.
now parts we throw at it i hope dons dont gets me fro this, lol.
distributor madule full tune up wires and plugs,
to me it seems there is no spark when this problem accure, we will check for that next time it starts up.
och almost foget he did cut the main fuel line from the tank and install an inline filter, could that be a promlem??
i am leaning towards fuel pressure is too high.
coil is going bad.
or the ininition madule on the the riser is acting up.
your thought guys
