first off happy thanksgiving to all! now my question, when i was winterizing boat i ran out of nontoxic antifreeze but all i had left was the head so i pumped automotive antifreeze theough it, i jumped in the boat today to check on things and noticed antifreeze on the floor coming from the head, i left small amount of antifreeze on the bottom, about 1/2 inch deep and its still there but i know this puddle came from the head, did i damage it by using the antifreeze?? if it matters its the rariten ph2 with electric motor option on the pump .all the motor does is connect to the pump arm, thanks

Its possible you have a leak in the system. Antifreeze/coolant, straight is smaller molecularly than water and can slip through a small crack that water cant. Its not as small as acetone, but smaller than water none the less.

I had the exact same problem... The main hose off the toilet was leaking. I just took it off and drained it.. Maybe a cup of antifreeze came out.

Re: raritan head (toilet) problem

i just changed the discharge hose the beginning of the season and the gasket at the discharge flange, maybe it just needs a little snug on the bolts, im going to wait until spring i dont want to crack the plastic flange its cold here and that plastic gets brittle, if its a leak its no big deal i was nervous the antifreeze i used might have done some damage to something! thanks.
