ratio oil/fuel

there are many q/a on the above subject.<br />my 1956 7.5 motor decal recommends a mixture of <br />1/2 pint/ gal. with all your vast knowledge what should i use? my motor is old and i want to keep running.<br /><br />thanks for the help dd

ddzylka<br />The little critter will like modern, new and improved oils at 24/1-- one quart to 6 gal. Use the best, Evinrude Ram oil<br />Backfire ;)

Howdy, DD.<br /><br />I agree with Backfire on the 24:1 mix.<br /><br />I don't agree that you will gain any benefit by spending huge amounts on oil intended for DFI engines. WalMart SuperTech TC-W3 outboard oil will serve you well at a fraction of the cost for Ram oil.<br /> :)
