Raw fuel out the exhaust ?

Merc. 40 hp 4 cylinder. Starts good and runs fine but when you shut it off there is a sheen of gas on top of the water. Any help as to what is wrong would be great.<br />Thanks

For a two stroke engine.....Its normal.
