Bought a spare raw water pump for my 2003 5.7 MAG MPI Horizon that has the air pump fittings for pumping air into the system to purge raw water out ( a system I will not rely on as it has proven 'unreliable' ).
I bought this used pump housing to rebuild and swap out with the existing one ( then rebuild that one ).
The question - I took this spare, raw water pump apart and in the air portion of the pump is a shaft-like part that must move up and down to allow for the bypass of air, based on pressure.
What should I lube those o-rings and shaft with ? I don't want to assume just any lube is ok, i.e. grease that I might use for drive shaft lube
Thx
