I took a break from my boat repair project to finish another small project that I had started a few weeks ago . . . re-finishing the outdrive.
I re-finished the outdrive when I first got the boat, so it has been about 7 years and there was a fair amount of anti-fouling paint build up, etc. So, I ground all the paint off, fixed up some pits, etc., and then re-painted the thing.
Here are a few photos . . .
The skeg is beat up from several "incidents", but I have a Stainless Steel Skeg Guard that goes over it.
Outdrive after epoxy and sanding

Primed with Primocon Primer

Finish coat

Of course, I will put anti-fouling on it before I launch for the season (whenever that is going to be
). So, the gloss finish will be only temporary . . .
