I just purchased this booat and it looks great on the inside but would look great all around if it was re-gel coated. I am relatively new to boating and don't have the slightest clue what Gel coating cost. Does anyone have any clue of a SF price? here is a picture of the ol' gal. IMAG0029.jpg

It does not look that bad. Maybe just some polishing compound to bring the color back.

Re-gelcoating is $,$$$

I totally agree, not worth the investment. Search through the restoration threads for details on bringing back faded gel. There are going to be differing opinions, but in general it's going to be something like wet sand w/ 1000, wet sand w/ 2000, buff, then a quality marine wax.

OK thanks for the replies I will shift over to the restoration thread. I figured it would be expensive but wasn't sure if the other options were recommended. I am going to try to wax the heck out if it before I do anything else.
