Can I use 2-200 4 strokes on my 1986 Grady White Sailfish? Honda 200 or Yamaha 200s. These motors are substantially heavier than my 155 Johnsons. I am getting mixed opinions.
You might consider a new setback mount with added floatation chambers . Expensive I'll bet,but you could then compensate for the added wieght, add the ability to mount and tilt-out, without taking up any deck space at all.
It sounds like a fantastic project you have going on.Got any pics?
This is the kind of project I'd like to take-on, but can't afford it right now..I'm thinking about getting an older PennYan, Grady, or Bertram offshore hull, and having fun with it. but i'll have to just dream for now.
But it would be great to able to follow-along.
For now, here are a couple links for brackets..I like the Armstrong with floatation (to offset the extra weight).

http://www.armstrongnautical.com/brackets.html

There are gobs of outfits that makle these, but none are cheap.

http://www.continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/engineBrackets.html
