does anyone know a good site for used outboards. I'm looking for something in the range of 90 -120hp and I don't want to spend toooo much, max $1000 ish

Well, we need to know where you are located. But sometimes you can find a deal close to home on craigslist. ebay seems to be a tad expensive.

AMEN, couldn't have said it better! Ebay is high now days, but Craigslist is great for local finds. you should be able to find a good setup on c list for 1k.

I keep the boat near albany, but foe the right motor i would travel within the state. The boat is tagged at 85hp (17 foot bayliner), but i think it would handle up to 120hp
