I uncovered the serial tag today from under many coats of paint ,it was unreadable. Up until now I have been thinking my boat was a 1977 22' SuperSport because of the paint scheme I matched up with the brochures.

I remember reading somewhere that the last digits in the serial designate the year.

Does this mean my boat is a '76 or is the F7 a code for a year?
and another question is how do I determine how big a .6 person is

Thanks for your help

Re: Reading Serial No.

0.6 of a 'normal' 150lb person (150lbs?? yep 150lb) is @ 100lb 'person'

Its more about the total combined weight of 2200lbs anyway. Even on a 22ft'r 9 @150lb people would seem a crowd........

Nice looking rig!

Thanks Bob_VT for clearing that up for me and thanks jbcurt00 for the compliment, she looks a little rough close up but its just cosmetics, she's well used but not abused..lol
Im using it almost daily and fixing\cleaning\improving as funds become available and enjoying the boat immensely along the way

Nice looking piece of tin. I ran your HIN through a validator program just for grins. I have no idea what the end characters mean and the program doesn't accept more than 12 characters. Results, but we knew it's a '76:

Hull Identification Number STRB27690876

Manufacturer: Starcraft Marine Llc Manufacturer Status: Plant Open

Serial No. B2769
Address: 68143 Clunette Street
xxxxxxxxxNew Paris, Indiana 46553 United States
Brands: Starcraft
Manufacturer's Website: Starcraft Marine

Certification Date: August 1976 Integrity Check Passed
Model Year: 1976

Keep on using her and have fun. :D

Re: Reading Serial No.

My 18' holiday is the same way, ( 76-F7 ) but is titled as a 1977. when I got the title put in my name they dropped the -F7 from the new title because they thought it was a typo, even though I told them it was on the boat like that.

I just thought that the boat was built in '76 for the '77 model year, and this was how Starcraft kept track of what they had.
( kinda like when they use to come out with cars at the 1/2 year like the 1964 1/2 mustang )

Also, mine was orginally the same paint sceam and color as yours.
