Ready for spring but nervous as the boat sits outside in the cold and snow Boat was winterized at marina, but firing it up for spring maintenance anything to inspect the engine and block to make sure winter didn't take a toll?

If done properly, everything should be just fine.
A few important things come to mind...
Check all fluids. Engine oil, drive lube. Make sure block drain plugs are installed.
There are plenty of discussions here in these forums on recomissioning your I/O in the spring.
It sounds like you are new at this. While your boat is stored for the winter, it's a great time to dream about next summer and look through these forums for tips. There's also the stickies for more detailed maintenance and repairs.
