mabey i should explain a little more ive got a 77 century me an some freinds got going a couple yrs ago 302 electric shift ran awsome 19 ft everything i ever wanted in a boat an then some then i left it behind the shop an it got vanalized very heavily they gutted all the switches wiring harness drilled a nice one inch hole in the fuel tank an many other stupid crackhead things found this 78 seaswirl 18 ftr with a 305 for a song on craigs list so being im a pretty fair mech i own a body shop i just was wondering is it worth a guys while ta attempt a swap like this if the price was right or should i just walk away hope that helps

Swapping an OMC for another OMC is never worth it. Cut your losses and get a boat with a more modern, still factory supported power package by either Merc or VP.
