Rear engin mount help pleeze?

Just replaced engine coupler on my 83 260 merc.<br />I've searched, but I cant find a pic of the rear engine mount asmbly. The spring/lock washer thing...<br />I have the bolt, spacer, flat washer, spring on top of the mount in that order. Is this wrong?<br />I've found pics of the rubber mounts/flywheel cover, but nothing showing the bolts/spacers.<br /><br />I think it was wrong when I got the boat causing the coupler failure... but I may be screwed up too. I'm thinking the spring/lock washer needs to be under the mounts?<br /><br />Thanks for your time!<br />mark

And just think, if you had a Mercruiser service manual for your engine and drive, you wouldn't have even had to ask.......It's all in the book

? What caused the failure in the first place.Coupler failure may be caused by weak transom,misalignment,rear mount failure, front mounts loosened up. Make sure its realigned properly or the new coupler will go south in a hurry.

Don S I haven't looked in the service manual for this,for a while.Is it that clear?I usually go to the parts manual,and recommend purchasing both books.<br />DHP

DHP<br />The drawing I used was actually from an installation manual, but you can find virtually the same drawing in the engine service manual (Section 2 of the Merc Manuals)
