Rebuild or replace? Merc 95xr

I have a Merc Sport Jet 95xr 2 stroke on a 14'RIB - I think the oil wasn't getting pumped in and it died (wish I premixed). Compression test shows 0 on the 1st cylinder, the other 2 seem ok. Estimate around $1200. Is it worth it? How much is reasonable to replace something like this? I want to get back on the water as cost effectivelty as possible. Any input appreciated!

thats a force motor hiding in merc clothing...

$1200 isn't bad, and you really don't have a choice. There is no other powerhead you can drop on it, so its either $1200 or junk the boat.

Is 1200.00 for a complete rebuild ? Sounds low , most rebuild kits with pistons ect are about 800.00 just for parts . If you are going into the engine do it right and rebuild the entire powerhead .
