Hi guys going to rebuild my carb on 87 / 3.0 OMC. Been having trouble with re-starts. Having to increase idle slightly to re-start then bring it back down and idles fine around 600 rpm. This is when it is warm.
So does any one have experience with rebuilding these carbs? I will be following my OMC service manual and use specs from there.
Thanks in advance

Ayuh,.... Is that the Only problem yer having,..??

It pretty common to have to advance the throttle to start a Carbed motor,...

It's a Carb, Not Efi...

Yes Sir, that is the only problem I have. Yes 1987, 3.0 Carb. Do you think it could be the controler or cable? I am also planning on replacing the control since it is the original. I will also check to make sure throttle cable moves when controler moves. Thanks

Ayuh,... My point is, there Ain't a problem,... It's a Carbed motor, not Efi like yer car,...

It's SoP for it to behave that way....

Seems like yer just lookin' to blow money where it ain't needed....

Inspect yer controller, 'n cables,... probably nothin' wrong with them either....
