I bought a carburator rebuild kit for my '78 15Hp Evinrude. The kit comes with a small cone shaped part made of plastic. The service manual refers to this as a bearing. When I took the old parts off the carb, I didn't see one of these down in the orifice. Would the engine have run without one, or do I need to take a closer look? Thanks,<br />Bud.
