I posted earlier. I think I'll make the question easier.<br /><br />I want to rebuild the Trim/Tilt hydraulic cylinder on my 1990 50hp Johnson. It's leaking pretty good out of the top seal. I know I'll need a spanner wrench to open the top of the hyd. cylinder. <br />Can I replace the seal with the unit on the boat? I've got the lower shaft out so the entire unit swings clear (can't get the top pin out--too tight). Do I have to replace anything else inside the cylinder when it's opened up?<br />I've never done one of these before. Advice welcomed.
