Rebuilt 351 Windsor with 290 Volvo out drive

Looking to possibly purchase a 1969 fir a boat with a rebuilt 351 window and a 290 Volvo our drive. What would be your opinion on his possible purchase. It was re built in November last on the water in feb. Also stated he has the bed girl mother for lower unit trim in hand. Said it would be easy to install would u agree as this would be my first boat purchase it’s 24ft. Any information is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

what year 290? the Fords were not paired to them until about 91 or 92

the drive is bullet proof, the motor would be a non-starter, especially if the motor is fuel injected.

Waiting to see what yr the out drive going to see the boat tomorrow where we will start it .. what did u mean by non starter ? Is that bad thing ?
