Rec. RPM Range on a 2.3L Ford?

Hey Guys!

I've recently purchased a Four Winns Freedom 170 w/ a 2.3L Ford Inboard and OMC Cobra Outdrive. The boat is in great shape mechanically and will look pretty nice after I've finished reconditioning the interior (woohoo winter project!)

The boat did not, however, come with an engine manual and search as I might I cannot find the recommended RPM range for Full Throttle operation. I don't want to over-rev and damage the motor..

I know this is a pretty common engine, and I'm hoping somebody on here knows it well enough to tell me what the recommended range for safe Full Throttle operation is.

You will get a quicker and more accurate response over on the Mercruiser forum (yes I know you have a Cobra but there are lots of I/O experts over there). However, I believe that engine can rev to 5500 RPM.
