I don't need the quick silver oil right? do I need a "boating oil"?
I want to have some on hand for spare and buy in bulk for winterizing.

Any recommendation of grade?

Right! You need "heavy duty oil". I run Rotella 15W-40, same as I run in my diesel powered tractors and combine. Get mine from Tractor Supply. You can get in 5 gal containers.

Ayuh,.... Me too,..... 55gal. drums from Sam's Club,..... ;)

'bout any motor oil found on the shelf at WallyWorld of 15W or higher to say 50W, will run just fine in our boat motors,.....

Like the grease in my signature, Any, is Better than none at all,....

hmm...well I don't want just "any" I want what is best for it, its old 1997
recently was using 25w-40 because that is what the old owner used
but my manual has anywhere from 15-40w (depending on temp)

probably should stick w/ what is currently in it for top offs until I winterize , eh?

Use the search engine to look for the word "oil". Lots of reading. Lol.
