Recommendations for replacement multimeter

I've had this sun-pro/actron multimeter for about 25 years. Always worked well. Has been left in the rain at least once and dropped a couple of times but as a of a few weeks ago it seemed to be working correctly measuring RPM. Now all of a sudden RPM is way off and dwell reads right at .60 no matter where I adjust the points. As I write this I guess I should replace the battery and see if that solves the problem but if it has seen its last days how do I decide on a replacement. I want to be able to measure dwell and RPM plus normal current/voltage/resistance/continuity etc. Plus whatever else I may stumble on that I haven't learned how to use yet. AC systems? I have searched Amazon and there are plenty of $50 meters that do everything this old one did but I don't want to out-cheap myself if it is worth spending more on a higher quality tool. Any advice here?

Bosch fix7677. That is the one I use and you can check rmp and set dwell angle with it. Seen it for 30-40 dollars online.
