Reconnecting low-oil sensor, need help!

Hi all,
I've got a 1994 Mariner 40, 2-stroke, 2-cyl with #0G082938.

The previous owner have disconnected the low oil sensor, probably due to the in-tank-magnet coming loose and alarm stays on. I want to reconnect it to make sure that's the case, but I can't find where to reconnect the two light-blue wires from the sensor!

I've located 4 unconnected cables that might originate from the alarm module, but the colours don't match a schema I found (black and light-blue cables should connect to the two light-blue).

In the first picture, am I on the right spot and if so, what cables should I use? The colours I can find on unconnected cables are purple, pink, gray-blue and white... Please help!

The second picture shows four other unconnected cables, but those seem wrong, right?

Did you try to trace them down from the TPM (timing and protection module)?

Or the othe way around? From the main harness, follow the tan/blue wire to an adapter then, on this adapter, you should also have the light blue and black wires you were looking for.

The tan wire at pic #2, wich I believe is the connection for the lead from temperture sender, is also disconnected. No sight of the tan/blue. I guess both oil and temp is out... I tried to follow the harness, but got lost under the plate and behind the starter. I guess I need to start removing parts to get a better view and try to find the adapter. Have you got any clue of what the four wires in pic #1 (purple, pink, gray-blue and white) are for?

Thanks for helping out!

Just an update in case anyone else is struggling with something similar;
I removed the plate holding the TPM box and voltage regulator and finally found the adapter where the black, light-blue and tan/blue wires were connected.

It turned out that due to time, sun and Murphy's law, the black had turned into grey-blue and light-blue into white. :mad: The tan/blue had a black cover all the way into the adapter, making it really hard to locate without the schema.

So, in short, the wires I found in pic #1 where the correct ones. Connecting "black" <-> light-blue and "light-blue" <-> light-blue shot off the alarm continuesly, so I was probably right assuming the magnet came loose in the oil tank and the previous owner got sick of the beeping...

Thanks for helping out.
