Rectifier bad?

Am I doing something wrong? Or is my rectifier bad? I followed the directions on here http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=190638 and I can't get any sort of reading on this rectifier, no matter how I put the leads from my multimeters. I have two different multimeters, and I get nothing with either, no reading except for the number 1 that comes on the screen when I turn the meters on. Is this correct? Does it just mean that everything is burned out in the rectifier and no current will go through?

Yup, sounds like the rectifier's open, time for a replacement!

this works for me,, it better than the orginal rectifier,,, will take more abuse

cheap but good get 3 and have spares for friends

jimg984 how would I hook up this rectifier if I were to get it? I usually only see three terminals on these, how do I know which ones to use? Thanks for your help.

each connection will have color dots 2 have yellow dots for yellow wires
i has a blue dot this goes to any metal for grounding............red dot 1 is for the red wire................tach wire can connect to either yellow wire
