With one eye open and one closed I watched the Sox past 2am continue to live out the curse of the Bambino. Now, continuing with the Red Sox tradition, they will win the next two games handily and then lose the last two in the most heartbreaking, bizare way possible.

As a dedicated Sox fan, last night was just another devastating post season loss to file away with so many others. Bucky Dent was really minor compared to Bill Buckner!!

gaugeguy - how could you even type his name :( <br /><br />Have you all seen the HBO documentary just released about the Sox called the curse of the Bambino? It was very painful to watch... it pretty much ends with he who's name can not be said and that error.

I am beginning to really feel sorry for you Red Sox fans out there.<br /><br />But I think you guys are going to have endure another 15 years of losing before all the curses and jinx's are over.<br /><br />I don't think curses and jinx's can last more than 100 years!<br /><br />But then again, I've been known to be wrong and the Red Sox just may never ever win a World Series again.<br /><br /> Theeeeeeeee Yankees Win!! <br />Kenny

The only reason that I travel to America in the summer is to catch a game or two. I have had conferences the last two in Boston and Chicago respectively. Went to see Pedro in Beantown and Sammy in Windy. The atmosphere is still amazing to those of us who have limited exposure...<br /><br />By the way, I grew up in Detroit and still fly my Tiger pennants...Good years as well as ones like this one.....

Fenway is a fantastic place to see a game. It's so small you feel like you are on the field. It's not like most of the big parks in the rest of league. Honesty, I'd rather watch a game on TV than go to one of the canyons.

Ahhh, man.<br /><br />We've got a fenway lover here :D <br /><br />I'm sorry. But I'll never go back to fenway. Lets face it, the place is freaking dump!<br /><br />last year they had a dubble header, I went to the 2ed game of the day. Their was crap all over the place, we had to walk threw trash to get to our seats.<br /><br />Then:<br />Don't sit near any fat guys, because they will take up your seat too, the seats are too small for a fat person to fit into.<br /><br />When one person in the row has to get up everone has to stand so they can walk by. <br /><br />Its very anoying, I've been over 20times, and I've just had it.<br /><br />They should tear the place down.

Ya they did squeeze more seats in. But for actually being able to see the game, it can't be beat. I've been to other parks and they don't compare. You need binoculars to see what's going on. At Fenway you can see the stiches on the ball. That's why tickets go for 4 - 5x face value regularly.

Sorry Ralph, you are right, I shouldn't have mentioned his name. I typed it in and 3 hours later the Sox lose again...I think it's time for the rallying cry of the Red Sox Nation..."Maybe next year."

So true and so sad!<br /><br />They interviewed lots of known locals for that HBO documentary. At the end each one said something like, "What would we do with our selves if they ever won? What then?"<br /><br />It was then I realized that al these people secretly cheer for te Sox to come close and lose. They love the misery! How can you win when even your own die hard fans are praying you lose?
