that was pretty good! what a diff huh, from the ole days of jaws. now we get a mixture of ethnicities get eaten up, instead of just the white people- (just kiddin)
i'm glad LD Phillips got to lead, i always thought he was a good actor. not a movie on the level of titanic or we were soldiers, but a good thriller. i liked the ice character, but i still don't know what most of the ebonics were supposed to mean. it must be the yankee flavor that threw me :D LOL

WEll, being from Louisiana, the rivers they showed
are NOTHING like the rivers they are supposed to be. The Atachafalya River, is NEVER CALM, its current is FAST, and you could bearly see your hand in front your face with a good underwater light. They say it was filmed in Africa?

It was just another kick, every-time someone portrays Louisiana, they think we live in a shack with gaters tied up in the front yard, and we have no teeth. :D

Glad YALL enjoyed it though! ;)

Just one of GodsBeast's

Hi Kenneth Brown, What stuff? The stuff in the movie, or the Shack, tied up Gators, and no teeth? :D Heck man I even live in a subdivision with a double driveway! :D The subdivision has restrictions on keeping gators tied up! Besides, Gator's love to eat dogs, and even though my girl is spoiled, my life wouldn't be the same if I didn't have to go home and kick her out of my side of the bed at 4 in the morning.

My house is old, and some might call it a shack, but if I may say so, a whole lot better looking than those shacks along what they call the Atachafalya River! My wife and I laughed so hard looking at that calm peaceful river they showed. When the diving senes came on, I fell off my sofa
laughing. You'd have to have so much weight on you to swim in the Atachafalya current, you'd just go to the bottom and walk around. Other wise you'd come up MILES from where you dove in!
We poked fun at the little underwater light. You'd need to rip a search-light off of a lighthouse tower up North just to find a car in that river. I laughed so hard I thought I'd lose my dentures. "Just kidding, I'm only missing 2 teeth and they are way in the back out of sight."
:D We do have dentist's.

Heck it is all in fun! Sometimes when I watch these ole movies, I think visitors expect to get off a plane, jump in a pee roll down the Ba-you!

Yeea Shaa! We gonna chankey chank tonight! :D

Just one of GodsBeast's

I missed your posts till now, Shorkcat, we just call Alligators (Gators) some call them a pest, a pain in the a-s. But we usually don't get in their face when we call em that. We leave that to the Crock hunter. Man he has got some sand, shy a few bricks in his load, but has some Go nads.

Miloman my wife works for 4 different companies that deal with floods, disasters, federal stuff, etc. and one of her bosses has a degree in Oceanography (hope I spelled it right) and he said that it was possible for a shark to make it that far up into the Atachafalya, but wouldn't hold his breath. He also laughed at some of the scenes in the movie in reference to Louisiana!

Just one of GodsBeast's
