My new engines won't require the cluster of guages that the old ones had and the redone console will pretty much look like the one pictured.

Any suggestion on how to get from A to B would be helpful. Does it only require a piece of "plexi-glass", adhesive and screws or should I apply some fiberglass backing behind the original cut-outs?

Re: Redo Console

Most plastics will be strong enough to just cover the area and re-drill what you want. There are many options for the panel, any color plastic, aluminum, stainless, or even a carbon fiber look.

Even clear low reflective Lexan with a backing of low sheen black or a colour of your choice to match the rest of your color scheme.
