I have 2 set's of reed blocks. One set has a 140 stamped on the reed stops. These stops also have slots in them(vents?).. anyway.. this is on a 1973 evinrude 115. I also have a set of reeds that are from a 140, no vents, or slots in the stops on those. Is there any advantage to using the ones with slots in them over the others?
