I am about to start refurbing my Four Winns single axle trailer. I know this has probably been asked alot, and not to run the risk of replying to "old" posts, I will ask again. Is it a good investment to replace the current old standard grease hubs with the new oil bath hubs, or is using Bearing Buddy a better option?

Ayuh,... It's yer call...
I prefer grease hubs, as if the seal leaks, you get abit of water in the hub, but it's easily repaired...
Loose a seal in an oil hub, 'n you ain't goin' Nowhere...

Bearing buddies are a great way to go.

Thank you for the information. Those were my thoughts, but have seen alot of industries moving over to the oil bath hubs and wanted to hear others opinions. I think I will be sticking with greased hubs and give Bearing buddies a try.

I prefer bearing buddies, but I hear good things about oil bath bearings as well

Alot of military vehicles use the oil bath system even the M1 Abrams tank I worked on.

I have to go with bearing buddies too. Have them on my single axle for the tri hull and they have never been a problem.

Thanks for the information, I have never used Bearring Buddies before. But I know with proper maintenance I have never had trailer wheel bearring failure.
