Hi people.. running a 13x19 stainless cupped on a 79 rude 140, would like to get feed back on which would be better & cheaper, rehub my stainless prop or purchase a aluminum prop of same size and cupped also,I do fish flats and fish in the gulf also... and any suggestions of a place to buy a aluminum prop or have a prop rehubbed reasonable??:)

If you are happy with the stainless and it's in good shape otherwise, get it rehubed.

It would probably cost about the same but if you have the stainless rebuilt it will look like new and be a much better prop.

Not sure what shipping would be because I don't live to far from there store front. They are easy to talk to if you give them a call I bet they could steer you the right direction. They had all the parts for my prop/engine in stock and inspected everything for cracks and failures before starting the work so I would not be putting a hub in a failing prop to begin with.

I had a 13 x 19 re-hubbed this summer in Baton Rouge for $40. Dropped it off one day, picked it up the next. Got to be shops around Tampa that do it for about the same price. Check with a couple of dealers or parts stores and I bet they can steer you to one.

You might also check into rundquist.com
They just did a rehub for me, and with shipping cost about $46.
They're located in Naples, FL, so not too far from you.
