Relay or slaves solenoid and no fire at coil

2005 four winds 3 L originally now 2014 3 L MerCruiser adaptive portion of wiring harness contains a relay around the starter but no slave solenoid engine turns over but no fire That coil I am checked out replacement coil test say OK

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... It sounds like yer confusin' the Start circuit, with the Ignition circuit,.....

They're 2 very different circuits,....

There should be power at the coil's (+) tiny terminal, with the key in the "On" position,.....

If not, start testin' at the key-switch for power in the Ignition circuit, usually purple wires,....
