So I got 1 of my T/T all disassembled and realized the trim piston rebuilt kit is not included in the rebuilt kit (0393942) which is a PITA as I now have to wait for it to come before I can reassemble this. Trim units are from 1983 140hp and 1984 120hp evinrudes. Both look to be exactly the same and only difference I see is motor part number is different online but I think they are the same still. Looks like there is a seal for the piston head and that is it. So I am buying 0390007 o-ring package to rebuild the tilt assembly.

I thought mine was a prestolite per the manual, but per this diagram the showa has the nut on the end:

Book tells me to replace the filter valve seat so I am getting that as well part number 0321226 and picked up o-ring for it, 0321542, as I am not sure if that is in my rebuild kit.

I was also going to replace the relief valve seal on the tip of the releif valve, but I have to buy the whole think for like $50, which I am not going to do.

I can buy a seal for the pump valve relief 0122757. I am wondering if this is the same seal. I guess I can check when I get home, but dont want to destroy my relief valve if the seal does not come off. I also though this would be usefull info for somone that is rebuilding so they could buy all the parts the first time.

I also could not remove the VALVE CORE and valve core seat as I dont have the proper tool. Im not even sure if I have the o-rings for this anyways thou so I was just going to leave it be. Would have been nice if I new what was in the rebuild kit.

Other things I cannot remove are the Impact sensor valve seat and relief valve seat. Would like to get all these out and replace o-rings assuming the rebuild kit has them. Lastly I could only undo the oil lines from the top and bottom of the tilt piston assembly. Luckily that is good enough to get it all apart. I may give another try now that I have it all disasmbled but dont want to strip them. Goint to repaint everything while I am waiting on the rest of my parts.

Picked up a new motor on ebay for $52 so that nice.
