Hi All,
I have a 95 Evinrude 130 with power trim/tilt on a 70 Fiberglass Alumacraft. I just replaced all the gauges and wiring and now the remote control in the throttle only goes one way. The control at the motor still works OK.

Is this a bad switch, or did I screw something else up?

If I need to replace the remote switch, where can I find replacement?

I'm assuming you mean the trim and tilt switch.I would say ,wherever you made the connections from the switch, one of the wires isn't making good contact. You are getting power ,or the switch would not work at all.Did you butt splice in the box?or is it plugged in?The only other thing would be the switch not working in the bad direction. But since you say you did new wiring,I would guess its a connection

just swap the relays and see if that made it go down not up or down not up
if that is it replace the bad relay

Not to be at all argumentitive, however if the trim and tilt switch at the engine allow operation in both ways,I don't see a problem with the relays, you did say the problem began after some wiring changes. You can test the switch by use of a volt meter or a 12 volt test lite. Place one lead to ground, and the other lead to the wires from the switch ,the red would always be hot,I believe the other two wires are blue and green, blue would be up(for sky) green down(for ground, grass). An ohm meter would wor as well, one lead to the red,and the other lead to one of the other wires ,operate the switch in both directions, you should get a reading when the switch is makes contact with the corresponding wire.check both trim and tilt leads,if only one side works then replace the swiotch,if both work, look for an open connection on the non working wire or lead
