Hi, I have removed the sterndrive and now want to change the bellows, having trouble removing pivot.
Does anyone know if you use a spline drive socket to remove the pivot pins. What size?

The hinge pin tool will probably be best, but you might be able to use a 1/2" allen wrench. Just cut off a section and use a socket on it.

Tried the allen wrench Don, kept slipping all the time. I had to basically hang on the wrench bar to get those pins out using the correct tool. Think they were thread locked also.

Yep, the yellow stuff is thread locker, the white stuff is corrosion. Plus the torque of 105 ft lbs makes them difficult to get loose at times. Heat helps.
