Removed my stator today...

I made time to tinker with "The Force 50" today, found that my top cylinder wasn't firing, I thought maybe the coil is bad but the ohm test suggested good so after reading my sucloc manual and being on the outboard ignition website, I removed my flywheel and found my stator to be quite rusty in some areas (see photos) I did a OHM test via blue to blue and got a good reading, however the green to green got nothing figuring it's ground (open) so can I salvage my stator by cleaning it up and applying some white lithium grease around the outside edge of the magnets? or just go ahead and purchase one? The trigger test good as well.

The rust has nothing to do with it better to just leave it alone. I believe blue is CD charging while green wires are for battery charging. So a bad reading on them will not affect running. However, test again: resistance on the green wires is low. You may have been off scale on your meter.

Thanks Frank...yeah it tested good so I'll leave it as is, however I'm wondering about my coil if I need to replace it? I'll check it again and go from there...thanks again.
