Removing lounge seats on Bayliner 175

Beginning to plan my off season projects, anyone with a Bayliner 175 around the 2007 year ever removed the drivers side lounge seats? I want to get rid of it and put a captains chair and a cooler mount in. My biggest concern is, will I have to re-carpet the whole floor? Or are the seats separately carpeted?

I have a 2001 Bayliner 185. I would be interested to know how your project turned out because I hope to do the same thing.

As for my model: once the base was removed, I found the entire floor under it to be carpeted. The base just sits on top of the carpeting.

What pedestal did you put in and how did it turn out?
