Hi, I'm trying to remove my riser studs (The ones that go into the top of the manifold). Nuts came off, riser is pulled off and I need to remove the studs. I tried double nutting them and that didn't work. Do I need to apply heat or something? Is there a type of thread locker in there that needs to be heated? This is on a 5.0 EFI (2002)

Thanks.

liquid wrench, heat on the manifold areas around the stud . . . maybe vice grips on a non-thread critical portion of the stud. what ever works.

Agree need so heat, best would be an acetylene but if you don't have that propane will take longer

Also try with it double nutted, taping down on it with a hammer and a plying heat.Spay some PB
penatrating oil and let it soak for a while before.
