Am I missing something here? Im trying to pull off powerhead and getting locked up on something. My brother and I were attempting to manually pull it off. Following OEM manual steps, all nuts and bolts are removed and when we pick up, we get a visual of the shaft ( about 1" total),, but seems to lock up. This week I'll borrow a cherry picker from neighbor to save the labor, but I still feel its locking up on something?!?!??!? Thanks,, Joe

Did you remove the pin that holds the shift rod in place?

Re: removing power head from 112 johnson

Im in Chino Hills. Ill give the power head another shot in a few days, But I think Im about ready to throw in the towel. The time is becoming too much of a issue and I dont want to start something I wont have time to finish.
Do you know of any outboard rebuilders locally?
